Looking back, the Petrisors of today have a long
tradition working the land. Mostly al the
forerunners in the family were farmers...the
Petrisors, the Cruceans, the Imbroanes, the Vartacis,
all of them of Pecica as well, whose descendant is
me, Radu, while my wife Florica brings to the
equation the gardening tradition of the Suleas and
Sferleas of Avram Iancu- Bihor. |

I would like to dedicate
a few words to the memory of my grandfather Stefan
Petrisor "taica Steva" as we all knew him...he was
born at the beginning of the century in 1900 and
lived 78 years.
He was a witness to all the historical events of his
time, as well as to the a few personal trials,
having lost his wife "maica Floritsa" early in life,
and his 23 years old daughter... From a young age he
was a well balanced man, good manager, putting
diligent effort into working his 21 hectares of
land, reason for which later the communists labeled
him as "chiabur" and treated him as an enemy.
But he didn't reply in the same manner, in fact,
after all his belongings were taken he continued to
work with the same responsibility in the CAP of
Pecica ( a communist organization that dealt with
ploughing and cropping the land that once belonged
to the peasants), winning the respect of all the
village people, respect which he never lost...

Indeed taica Steva stays in our memory as a man
dedicated to working his native land, but also as a
great lover of people and of God...not to forget, a
great lover of books...I can't recall having known
anyone else so eager to read, books of all fields,
anything he could get his hands on...

The premises in which our firm was founded were
determined by the historical events of 1989, when
our family received back part of the land owned by
our grandparents before the communist
collectivization. Also another contributing factor
for founding our firm, was the already existing 20
years career of my wife Florica, as a farm manager
and other related agricultural works.
Therefore, after working the land of a few relatives
for a setting the foundation; tools, deposits and so
on, in 2000 we started the Petrisor Family
Association together with our father Gheroghe and
our son Alin. Our main responsibility was to
administrate 110 hectares of land, mostly on lease.
Since then until now, we grew every year in surface
and in potential regarding the specialized equipment
we use.
Today, we work 400 hectares of land and established
a new farm residency with great potential for
growing.
In the present, according to the current laws of
Romania, The Family Association became The
Petrisor Family Enterprise.
The Commercial Society Sionda was founded in
order to create the legal support for growing the
Enterprise by hiring personnel and diversifying the
activities.
